December 8 (A Double)

1941 - The day after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S. Congress granted President Roosevelt a declaration of war against Japan:  WWII.

Historians often speak of Stalingrad, Midway or El Alamein as the ‘turning-points in WWII,’ but the real turning-point was the day the U.S. entered the war...From this day on, the Germans and Japanese ceased to control their own destiny, which is why it's a shame we waited so long.
 
1991 - Russia, Byelorussia and Ukraine declared the Soviet national government dead, forging a new alliance to be known as the Commonwealth of Independent States. Boris Yeltsin, Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk, and Belarus President Stanislav Shuskevich met in a hunting lodge to proclaim the Soviet Union null and void and to form a loose Commonwealth of Independent States.

WOW!!!! The fall of the USSR...The CIS wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it was infinitely better than the Soviet Hell State.

1854 - Pope Pius IX defined the dogma of the 'Immaculate Conception' in his apostolic letter, 'Ineffabilis Deus.' It asserted that by a singular privilege and grace granted by God, Mary was freed from original sin "in the first instant of conception."

Next.

1907 - Christmas Seals were sold for the first time to raise funds to fight tuberculosis. Today, Christmas Seal donations are primarily used in the fight against birth defects.

I can already see the ACLU(seless) claiming this organization has no right raising money to help children in the name of Christmas...Sick bastards.

1932 - Japan told the League of Nations it had no control over its designs in China.

And they were absolutely correct...Much as the United Nations has no control over current international politics, or itself.

1941 - Japanese troops occupied Shanghai, landed on Guam and in Malaya, invaded Siam, attacked Hong Kong, and Japanese destroyers attacked Wake Island:  WWII.

A big day for the ‘Empire of the Sun’...I hope they enjoyed it while it lasted.

1948 - Jordan annexed Arabic Palestine; the old city of East Jerusalem came under Jordanian control until 1968. Transjordan was given to a client Arab family, the Hashemites (led by King Hussein’s grandfather), and was run out of Mecca by the Saudis.

So, the next time you hear anyone speak of the Palestinians as a ‘people without a homeland,’ tell them they are absolutely correct. And the Palestinians have their Arab brothers to blame for it.

Israel shouldn't give up any land for the creation of a Palestinian state. Jordan (or Saudi Arabia, or Egypt, or...) should simply allow the Palestinians to enter their country or give up some of their land for the creation of an independent Palestinian state...Of course that won't happen, and they'll just keep blaming Israel.

1987 - The 'Intifada' (Arabic for uprising) by Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied territories began.

And it hasn’t ended...In fact it has spread, and will continue to get worse.

At this point in history this is no where near as important as the other two events (1941 and 1991), but it's my opinion this will eventually lead to the same significance, because of its influence on the rest of the Muslim world. Particularly the Global Jihadist fools...I hope I am wrong.

1987 - President Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev signed the INF Treaty, which provided for the dismantling of all U.S. and Soviet missiles with ranges of 300 to 3400 miles.

I’m sure neither party upheld their end in this deal...And they shouldn’t have.

1993 - President Clinton signed the North American Free Trade Agreement, which went into effect at the start of 1994.

As much as I can’t stand Congressional Democrats, I wish they had won on this issue...The Republicans made a huge mistake in opening the borders to the 'Goths on Wheels,' and we will be paying for it for years to come.

The significance of this event is much like the 'Intifada,' because of the terrible long-term effects which will develop out of it in the future...Once again, I hope I am wrong.

1997 - At the U.N. conference on Global Warming in Kyoto, Japan, U.S. Vice President Al Gore signaled a willingness on the part of the U.S. to compromise and perhaps raise the amount of greenhouse gases it is willing to cut.

During the Clinton administration, the U.S. Senate (controlled by Democrats) refused to support the Kyoto Protocols, and President Bush absolutely refused to take part in such madness...Thankfully, our current president isn't likely to get involved with such madness, either.

2001 - John Walker Lindh, a Taliban soldier from Marin County, Ca., was held at Camp Rhino near Kandahar as a battlefield detainee. He was captured a week earlier following the prison revolt at Mazar-e-Sharif.

The scary part is he's only one of many...The 'Enemy Within' (M.S.) are everywhere, in and outside the U.S., waiting for their marching orders.

As with every lasting country in history, there will be another civil war in the U.S. eventually, and when this day comes these scumbags will have their day of reckoning.

2002 - Iraq's massive dossier detailing its chemical, biological and nuclear programs arrived in New York; the U.N. Security Council agreed to give full copies to the United States and the four other permanent council members (Britain, France, Russia and China).

So Iraq really did have a WMD program? I would swear the stiffs on TV said they didn’t.

2003 - Russian military documents confirmed that dozens of rockets outfitted with dirty bombs appeared to be missing from the military airport at Tiraspol, capital of Trans-Dniester.

Hmmmm. I wonder which radical group is holding onto these babies? We will surely find out sooner or later...Hopefully our troops in the field can capture them instead of finding then when used against the people of N.Y. City or L.A.

December 3

1800 - U.S. state electors met and cast their ballots for the presidency. A tie resulted between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr.

This was the young country's first great electoral crisis...Thankfully, Congress broke the tie and the nut-job Burr wasn’t given the post.

It’s funny how the modern media has tried to make us believe the country never faced such a crisis prior to the 2000 election...Unfortunately, our school system has neglected history to the point that most Americans probably believe anything they hear on the news.  Which is exactly how the Liberal propagandameisters in the school and media systems intend it to be.

1621 - Galileo invented the telescope.

A giant step towards a “giant leap for mankind”...This invention opened the imagination to the possibility of reaching for the stars.

1989 - Presidents George H.W. Bush and Mikhail Gorbachev announced the official end to the Cold War at a meeting in Malta.

40+ years of Cold War Hell, and America could relax for awhile...Oooops. That was a mistake.

We fell asleep while the Chinese and Islamists prepared for our weakness.

We must never forget our enemies are numerous, and the fall of one only means another takes over the top spot...And we also can't take it for granted our so-called allies are actually our friends, either.

1996- A judge in Hawaii ruled the state had to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, prompting an appeal.

How about putting this matter to the ballot box Hawaii? It would be a huge slaughter, and the Liberals know it, which is why they fight so hard for judicial appointments. So they can have courts over-rule the "will of the people."

2004 - Ukraine’s Supreme Court overturned the results of the disputed presidential elections and ordered a new runoff by December 26.

A showdown was on between the pro-Western and pro-Russian candidates...The pro-Western candidate won the runoff - sort of.

The Ruskies haven't forgotten this loss, and are doing much to bring Ukraine back into its orbit...Indirectly or directly. Or maybe they'll just shut off the gas during the middle of winter.

Or maybe they'll support a rebellion in the east and take Crimea...Doh!

That was funny when I first wrote it in 2005...Not so much any more.

November 22 (A Double)

1542 - New laws were passed in Spain giving protection against the enslavement of Indians in the Americas.

Many may ask: 'Why give Indians rights against enslavement, but not blacks?'

The answer is pretty simple: If they had continued enslaving the Indians, who outnumbered the Spaniards by millions, the Indians would have revolted as a general population and eventually slaughtered their masters...And don't think for one second many Indians weren't enslaved after this law. It just wasn't government's policy to do so.

Blacks were numerous in the New World, but the Spanish use of a little goodwill towards the Indians allowed them to continue controlling their black slaves.

This decision proved to effect the future of an entire continent, and the biological composition of this continent's people as a Spanish-Indian mix (Mestizo)...Had the Spanish continued to enslave the Indians this would never have happened on such a grand scale.

1963 - President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas. Texas Governor John B. Connally was seriously wounded, suspect, Lee Harvey Oswald, was arrested, and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson became the 36th President of the United States.

A sad day for America, and one which opened up a Pandora's Box of ultra Liberalism...Who knows what JFK would have done in the rest of his presidency, but I am quite sure he would have run the Vietnam War much more forcefully than LBJ did - it couldn't have been run much worse.

I'm equally sure he wouldn't have run amok expanding the 'Welfare State' as LBJ did - under the political cover of a martyred Kennedy...As every succeeding Democrat has done since.

1930 - Elijah Muhammad formed the Nation of Islam.

I’m gonna leave this one alone…You can fill in the blank on your own.

1942 - Soviet troops completed the encirclement of the German Sixth Army at Stalingrad:  WWII.

By not allowing his generals to fight an intelligent battle (allowing them to retreat and regroup), Hitler more or less wasted a million German troops at Stalingrad.

The 'Man of Steel' would never have allowed the city of his name to fall, and the fact that Hitler insisted on having it is more proof that Germany had no chance to win World War II, because the ‘Fuhrer Principle’ was enough of a handicap to ensure Germany’s eventual defeat.

1943 – The British Royal Air Force began the sustained bombing of Berlin:  WWII.

The tables were finally turned, and the German capital began feeling the ‘rain from hell’ which it had caused in London...This was just the beginning, however, and things got much worse when the Americans began daylight raids.

And the Germans deserved every last bomb they received...Even the supposedly 'innocent Germans.'

1967 - The U.N. Security Council approved Resolution 242, which called for Israel to withdraw from territories it captured in 1967, and implicitly called on adversaries to recognize Israel's right to exist.

Yeah right!

The Arabs invaded Israel, and proceeded to get their tails kicked all over the Middle East, yet Israel was told it must give the Arab thugs their land back...Ha!!

Also, Israel’s 'right to exist' isn’t determined by the U.N...The 'right to exist' is determined by a country’s ability to make ‘existing’ a fact, through its ability to defend itself against those who would destroy it.

Unfortunately for Israel, its enemies are numerous, and if it ever falls prey to "U.N. thinking' it will surely be annihilated by those enemies.

1974 - The U.N. General Assembly recognized Palestine’s right to sovereignty and national independence.

What is with these jokers in the U.N.? Re-read the 1967 event.

The Palestinians should be recognized for nothing, except as an unwanted people without a home...If they were wanted there are many Arab counties who could have accepted them, but these countries want nothing to do with them.

This was also a sly way to give Israel a backhanded slap by doing so on the same date as they ‘recognized’ Israel.

1990 - British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, having failed to win re-election of the Conservative Party leadership on the first ballot, announced her resignation.

Margaret Thatcher is one of the most important women in world history, and was a fantastic ally of President Reagan’s in the Cold War.

1992 - President-elect Bill Clinton met in Little Rock, Ark. with sometime-critic Jesse Jackson, who praised the future chief executive as a leader who could "make the nation whole."

1. Jackson is a pathetic loser, and America’s blacks should be ashamed if they consider him a leader (that’s a big ‘IF’).

2. The only thing President Clinton made 'whole' was the whole Hell of a mess he made of Monica BlewClinsky’s blue-dress.

2004 - Ukraine’s central electoral commission said that with 99.38 percent of polling stations reporting, Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich had secured 49.42 percent of the vote compared to 46.7 for his Western-leaning rival, Viktor Yushchenko. Tens of thousands of demonstrators jammed downtown Kiev in freezing temperatures, denouncing Ukraine's presidential runoff election as fraudulent and chanting the name of their reformist candidate. The color orange spread as the symbol of protest and the movement began to be called the Orange Revolution.

Freedom in the land of the former Soviet Union is a dangerous thing to accomplish, and leaning towards the West is even more dangerous...How long Ukraine will keep the Russian Bear at bay is unknown, and Ukraine must be very concerned if the West is willing to help in it's coming time of need.

Sadly, I'm betting the West will fail in this matter.

1885 - French bacteriologist Louis Pasteur inoculated the first human being, a boy who had been bitten by a rabid dog.

Pasteur is a giant, and should rank with the top scientists and most important people in history...His presence is felt in all of us who have received a vaccine, and also by those who haven't - because they are protected by those around them who have been vaccinated.
 
1923 - The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Russia, the Ukraine, White Russia, and Transcaucasia), established on paper December 30, 1922, became a reality.

The Hell State became a reality...There have been few before, and none since, which have matched its insanity, and it would still be around if not for the strength of American Conservatives.

1439 - The Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches signed the Decree of Union at the Council of Florence, creating an official union between the two churches.

Like most 'decrees,' this one was more of a political move than a religious one, and the majority of both branches wanted no part of the other...Either way, the union was short, and the two Christian religions were doomed to separation due to geography, cultural differences, and the Muslim conquest of much of Southeast and Eastern Europe.

1775 - The Continental Congress issued the 'Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms,' listing grievances but denying there was intent to become independent of Great Britain.

1854 - The Republican Party was formally established at a meeting in New York City.

Within six years the 'Party of Lincoln' won the White House, and America's future was turned upside-down...FOR THE BETTER!!

1989 - A Palestinian shouting "The glory of Allah!" grabbed the steering wheel of an Israeli bus, causing a crash which claimed 15 lives.

Many Muslims take joy in killing in Allah’s name; one of their many differences from Jews and Christians, who are commanded not to “murder in God’s name.”

2000 - The German Parliament offered a formal apology to Nazi-era slave and forced laborers passing a bill setting up a five billion-dollar compensation fund.

I suppose they feel like they are even now...Sick SOB's.
