March 5 (A Triple)

1946 - The 'Iron Curtain Speech': Winston Churchill delivered his famous speech at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.

"From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron Curtain has descended across the Continent. Behind that line lie all the capitals of the ancient states of Central and Eastern Europe. Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Sofia, all these famous cities and the populations around them lie in...the Soviet sphere."

Churchill was the greatest leader in the free world during the 20th Century, and his evaluation of Soviet Communism was right on target...Just as he had been regarding Nazism in the 1930's.

1953 - After 29-years in power, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin died at the age of 73.

In the entire history of the world, Stalin stands side by side with any of the worst and most destructive human beings...In his 12-year period of raising Hell, Hitler may have been worse, but Stalin was in power 17-years longer than Hitler, which allowed him to catch up and pass the German madman in the total number of lives ruined or ended.  Though he fell short of Mao's final number - and probably Genghis Khan's as well.

Here's how Stalin spent his last moments:

"For the last twelve hours the lack of oxygen became acute. His face and lips blackened as he suffered slow strangulation. The death agony was terrible. He literally choked to death as we watched. At what seemed to be the very last moment, he opened his eyes and cast a glance over everyone in the room. It was a terrible glance, insane and perhaps angry, full of fear of death." - Svetlana Stalin (Joe's daughter).

In other words, the Man of Steel exited the world just as he lived in it...Here's hoping he suffered mightily in death, and continues to do so in Hell.

2004 - Libya acknowledged stockpiling 44,000 pounds of mustard gas and disclosed the location of a production plant in a declaration submitted to the world's chemical weapons watchdog.

WOW!! This was an unforeseen, AND BARELY REPORTED, benefit of the Iraq War...It was also a scary awakening to the reality of the Middle East: If Libya had such weapons, what do the big players have?

The world also has to notice it wasn't long until the U.S. took out Gaddafi after he gave up his toys - It's debatable if we would have if he hadn't...Something every dictator with such weapons will keep in mind when we ask them to give them up:  North Korea, Iran, etc.

1616 - The Roman Catholic Church, through Cardinal Robert Bellarmine, declared Copernicanism a “false and erroneous” doctrine. As a result, Nicolaus Copernicus’ 'de Revolutionibus' was placed on the Index of Forbidden Books by the Roman Catholic Church.

He couldn’t prove his theories at the time, but Copernican ideas eventually won out on this argument...Years after his death.

1770 - The Boston Massacre: British soldiers, who had been taunted by a crowd of American colonists, opened fire killing five people.

In terms of bloodshed the 'massacre' has been over-hyped, but in terms of propaganda value for what was becoming a revolutionary cause it was a tremendous gift.

1933 - President Franklin Roosevelt ordered a four-day bank holiday in order to stop large amounts of money from being withdrawn from the banks.

Ever wonder why FDIC banks are never closed for four consecutive days? Here is your reason...I like FDR as a ‘war president,’ but his domestic plans were disastrous, and many were unconstitutional.

1933 - In German parliamentary elections, the Nazi Party won 44% of the vote, enabling it to join with the Nationalists to gain a slender majority in the Reichstag.

It is important to remember the Nazis took power through the ballot-box...Needless to say, this was the last 'free election' the Germans had for awhile.

Under the wrong circumstances it could happen in any country...Even in the U.S.

1998 - NASA officials announced the Lunar Prospector probe found the presence of water on the moon at the north and south poles. As much as 100 million tons of water was estimated. They estimated the water frozen in the loose soil of the moon might support a lunar base and a human colony.

The Moon is the next step in 'America’s Manifest Destiny'...No other country has ever been there, and none will have the audacity and ability to colonize it either.

1999 - In China, the annual two week plenary session was scheduled to amend the Constitution. The preamble mentioned the goal of developing a "socialist market economy" and acknowledged the late Deng Xiaoping. Revisions were planned to protect private enterprise and recognize multiple forms of ownership.

This was a giant leap towards capitalism, but China is a long way from having a free-market economy...If they ever allow free markets the world will see the establishment of an economic giant, capable of challenging the U.S. in the global economy - not just in GDP, but in individual economic wealth as well.

That's a big 'if,' though.

2000 - A Virginia subsidiary of PPL Therapeutics of Edinburgh, Scotland, the company that cloned Dolly the sheep, produced the first cloned pigs.

Congratulations! The Frankenstinians are extremely brilliant, and equally immoral and dangerous.

2001 - Muslim pilgrims began the stoning of the three pillars symbolizing the devil as part of the annual hajj to Mecca. 35 people suffocated to death during the stoning of the devil ritual.

Nice religion...If it only happened this particular year it would be an accident, but it happens every year.

January 8

1926 - Abdul-Aziz ibn Saud established the Kingdom of Hejaz - later renamed Saudi Arabia.

A country was created out of the desert wasteland...What a cruel irony their only valuable resource is the most important resource on Earth:  Oil.

And the world’s most irresponsible and lunatic people happen to control a large portion of the world's share of it.

1815 - The Battle of New Orleans:  War of 1812.  U.S. forces, led by General Andrew Jackson defeated the British in the last battle of the war.

The war ‘officially’ ended on December 24, 1814, but news of the peace treaty hadn’t reached the South yet...That's a good story, but not reality.

The truth is the Brits were hoping for a victory in New Orleans to use as a way of restarting the war, or at the very least to use as a bargaining tool against the U.S. in peace negotiations.

Instead the Brits got whooped, and it was beautiful for Jackson to slap the Brits around to the tune of 2,044 British casualties to only 71 for the U.S. troops...It was the last time the Brits returned to the U.S. with bad intentions.

1871 - Prussian troops began bombarding Paris:  Franco-Prussian War.

This became a reoccurring theme for the next 70-years between the Germans and French...Amazingly, they are friends now, but sooner or later the French will be Germany’s whipping-boy again.

1918 - President Wilson outlined his 'Fourteen Points for Peace':  World War I.

It all sounded nice, his idealistic plan for a world forever free from conflict, but the reality was (and always will be) the world isn’t a pretty place...The League of Nations was created out of Wilson’s Utopian pipe-dream, but the U.S. didn’t even join it, and WWII was less than 25-years away.

1954 - President Dwight Eisenhower proposed stripping convicted communists of their U.S. citizenship.

This was a move which would have been completely against the First Amendment, and never made it past the Supreme Court...He could have done more to destroy communism in America had he done more to destroy it internationally.

1964 - President Lyndon Johnson declared a 'War on Poverty.'

In order to crush poverty he increased welfare, which increased the 'political indentured servitude' of America’s poor and minorities by tying them to the Democrat Party...All along knowing these people would never be able to pull themselves out of their poor state as long as the Democrat Party was around to 'help keep them down.'

I have to admit it has been the greatest political strategy in American history, even though it's also been one of the most destructive social experiments in that same history.

1997 - The state of Arkansas put three men to death in the second triple execution since capital punishment was reinstated in 1976.

Gotta love a ‘triple’...It's good anytime a criminal scumbag is removed from this world. It's even better when three go at a time.

1998 - 'Unabomber' suspect Theodore Kaczynski tried to commit suicide just hours before stunning a packed courtroom by saying he wanted to be his own lawyer and argue he was sane. He appeared in court with a red mark on his neck and missing his undershorts, leading police to conclude he attempted to kill himself in his cell at the Sacramento County Jail. He was placed under security surveillance.

On the next day, they should have tossed a rope in his cell...Instead the state of California will be paying to incarcerate this piece of garbage for the rest of his life. What a sad joke.

1998:  World Trade Center bomber Rahmzi Ahmed Yousef was sentenced to life in prison.

Six people died and over a thousand were injured, yet this terrorist was given a life sentence instead of being executed.  Like Kaczynski, this case is a sad joke.

2002 – The 'No Child Left Behind Act,' was signed into law by President Bush.

Another case of 'Bad if (R) and Good if (D)'...Also, don't forget, this was a 'bi-partisan' bill, co-authored by two Republicans and two Democrats (one being Ted Kennedy).

The media and the Left love to snipe at this act, but if the same bill had been passed under Bill Clinton or Obama they’d be saying it is a great law.

2002 - The Bush administration sent a secret report to Congress, the 'Nuclear Posture Review,' which said the Pentagon needed to be prepared to use nuclear weapons against seven nations: China, Russia, Iraq, North Korea, Syria, Iran, and Libya.

The press and Congressional Democrats went nuts over this report...But it's a matter of National Defense, which should have been done long before this date.

The president’s first priority is protecting the nation. Neglecting to acknowledge our enemies, and finding ways to destroy them, would be a complete dereliction of duty...Something Democrats have become expert at.

November 23

1932 - The Kingdoms of Nejd and Hejaz merged to become the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud.

God played a nasty trick on humanity placing so much of the world’s most valuable modern commodity (oil) smack dab in the middle of this Islamic cauldron…As a result, the Arab dirt-farmers have cheated their pathetic heritage and become major players on the world’s economic and political scene.

1863 - The Battle of Chattanooga began: One of the most decisive battles of the American Civil War.

This was the Confederacy’s last chance to turn the war. General Thomas led the Union Army of the Cumberland, and General Bragg led the Confederate Army of Tennessee.

The two generals played a huge role in the battle:  Thomas came up big, and Bragg performed at his usual below-average level.

The importance of this battle was it completely opened up the South to Union forces attacking from the West, which gave the Union Army the opportunity of reconquering much of the South before the 1864 General Election...Crazy as it may sound, it wasn’t a foregone conclusion Lincoln would be reelected - Battlefield victories were needed desperately.

1921 - President Harding signed the Willis Campbell Act, better known as the anti-beer bill, forbidding doctors from prescribing beer or liquor for medicinal purposes.

It must be remembered Prohibition was in effect during this time in order to understand the context of 'needing a prescription for beer.'

Even back then the junkies knew how to work the system by claiming it was for medical purposes...Like our current-day pot-heads.

1923 - German Army commander General Von Seeckt banned the NSDAP and KPD.

The NSDAP was the Nazi Party and the KPD the Communist Party...Unfortunately for the Wiemar Clowns, they had no power to enforce their useless ‘bans’ and Germany was soon turned into a land of anarchy, which turned into a Hell State in 1933.

1934 - The U.S. and Britain agreed on a 5-5-3 naval ratio, with both countries allowed to build five million tons of naval ships while mandating Japan could only build three. Japan denounced the treaty.

The Japanese 'denounced the treaty,' but all three cheated from the day it was announced.

1943 - U.S. forces seized control of the Tarawa and Makin atolls from the Japanese:  WWII.

Makin Atoll was the first Central Pacific island to be reconquered by the Allies, and Tarawa was a major Japanese stronghold.

1945 - U.S. wartime food rationing of meat, butter, and other foods, ended.

Can you imagine if we had to ration anything today? I can already see the ACLU claiming it is a violation of civil rights to force individuals to give up anything for the common good.

Just another of the many reason why we would have lost WWII if the current group of lawyering and media Leftists had been around in the 1940’s.

1992 - Iran added a Russian-built submarine to its navy, becoming the first Gulf nation to field a submarine.

Iranian Navy? Hahaha! What a joke...The fact this navy consists of leftover Soviet junk is even more funny.

1993 - President Clinton offered "an apology to Native Hawaiians on behalf of the United States for the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii."

Hawaii is of immense strategic importance, but no one would expect Bubba to have a clue about National Defense.

1999 - Defense Secretary William Cohen called for a military-wide review of conduct after a Pentagon study said up to 75% of blacks and other ethnic minorities reported experiencing racially offensive behavior.

Having served in the Air Force, I can honestly say it was the least racist organization I’ve ever been part of...The military isn't utopia when it comes to race, but everyone is a co-equal according to their rank, regardless of race, creed, color, or gender, and is welcome and respected according to their ability.

If the rest of America could live up to this standard the country would be much better off...But this reality doesn't fit into Liberal myth, so the truth about the matter is rarely explained.

2006 - Scientists studying mice said they found what may be a master cardiac stem cell, able to change into the three major cell types in a mammal's heart, in a finding that could help guide heart repair in people.

This is amazing stuff, and the human mind seems almost capable of anything...For good or bad. Here's hoping more scientists keep to the 'Salk' model instead of the 'Mengelian' one.

What's also amazing is there are people who have a problem with scientists using mice to make findings like the one listed above, but have no problem using human fetuses...Such is humanity - and inhumanity.

November 13

1995 - Seven people, including five Americans, were killed when a bomb exploded at a military training facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Six years before 9/11/01, and what did we do to punish those who killed our troops? NOTHING!!! Because Clinton didn't have the stones to take appropriate action.

Instead he twiddled his thumbs (among other things), and allowed the Islamists to grow more and more bold...We suffered other hits between this time and 9/11/01, and he did little more than after this attack. So, who can blame the Jihadis for thinking they could kill Americans with no recourse?

Luckily when they tried their luck with G.W. Bush they were given a much different answer. And it's no surprise we haven't been hit again - at least not in a big way...Unfortunately, this may change with any future presidents, if they are more in the Bill Clinton mold.

Plus, Pike never made it up the mountain which is named for him. He tried many times, but never made it. He did make it back East to tell his version of the discovery, however.

1835 - Texans officially proclaimed independence from Mexico, calling itself the Lone Star Republic.

Texas is one of two states which was formerly an independent nation...Along with Hawaii.

Many think Utah was, but it wasn't...Utah was semi-autonomous, but never independent of the U.S.

1913 - The first modern elastic brassiere was patented by Mary Phelps Jacob. She initially made the brassiere from two handkerchiefs, a piece of ribbon and a piece of cord.

1930 - The first revolving milk platform was used. It could milk 1680 cows in seven hours.

This devise allowed machines to do the work of humans, and sped up the process greatly. Which allowed for mass production of milk and milk products to flourish.

1942 - President Franklin D. Roosevelt lowered the draft age from 21 to 18.

In a time of war, you do what is necessary.

1956 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled segregation on interstate buses is unconstitutional.

This decision was the fruit of Rosa Parks efforts...Sadly, legal doesn't mean reality, and it was many years before the problem of transportation and blacks was finally ended.

1993 - President Clinton used his weekly radio address to make a pitch for the North American Free Trade Agreement, then flew to Memphis, Tennessee, where he delivered an anti-crime speech to black ministers at the Temple Church of God in Christ.

NAFTA is nothing but a scheme to get 'Illegal Aliens' in the country, and I wish the Democrats in Congress won this battle...But they didn't.

Also, what's with Clinton giving speeches in a church? Personally, I have no problem with it, but I can't believe the 'separation of church and state Nazi's' didn't go insane over this...Try to imagine if a Republican gave the exact same speech in a church. All Hell would break loose in Liberalville.

2001 - President George W. Bush issued an executive order establishing military tribunals for the trial and potential execution of any person he labeled an “enemy combatant.” He dictated that people classified as enemy combatants “shall not be privileged to seek any remedy...directly or indirectly...in any court of the United States.”

Imprison them, question them, question them some more, torture and question them one last time, then execute them...Bush's order was much too lenient for my taste.

September 23

1806 - The Lewis and Clark expedition returned to St. Louis from the Pacific Northwest.

This ended the greatest, and most important, adventure in American history!! Yes, it was larger than going to the Moon.

One, the results of the Lewis and Clark expedition have had at least as much of an impact on the U.S. as the lunar trips.

Two, most thought the Moon shots would succeed.  Very few thought Lewis and Clark would make it back.

1122 - The Concordat of Worms: Pope Callistus II and Holy Roman Emperor Henry V ended the Investiture Controversy.

They may have officially ended the 'controversy,' but the problem didn’t end with this edict.

The battle between the secular and spiritual leaders of Europe (primarily the Holy Roman Empire and France vs. the Pope) raged for hundreds of years, with the Papacy holding the majority of power till this time...But Europe’s princes and kings were tired of constant infringement of their lands and people, and were in the process of overturning this perceived wrong.

1667 - Slaves in Virginia were banned from obtaining their freedom by converting to Christianity.

There’s no doubt America has some dark moments.  This was one, and it took 200+ years and the death of hundreds of thousands of white Americans for it to be righted.

1779 - American warship ‘Bon Homme Richard’ defeated the HMS Serapis:  American Revolutionary War.

This was a minor battle, but one of great American lore. The British captain called out for Captain John Paul Jones to surrender: Jones’ reply: "I have not yet begun to fight!"...Fight he did, eventually defeating the Serapis.

1805 - Lieutenant Zebulon Pike paid $2,000 to buy from the Sioux a nine square mile tract at the mouth of the Minnesota River, which became Fort Snelling.

Another minor event, but Pike is an interesting fellow...His name is widely known, but most don’t know he was sent West by the Army because the Army leadership couldn’t stand him.

They sent him out to get rid of him, and I’m sure some hoped he’d meet his end at the hands of the Spanish or the Indians.

1932 - Hijaz and Nejd and other districts were merged to form the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We’ll all eventually regret the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire in the 'Peace to End All Peace'...The world was much safer with the Middle East dirt-farmers controlled by the Ottomans.

1942 - Auschwitz began experimental gas executions:  WWII.

1950 - The U.S. Congress adopted the McCarran Internal Security Act, which became law over President Truman's veto. This act called for the registration of the communist-front and communist-action groups. It also called for the internment of suspected subversives with no trials in a national emergency, presumably in concentration camps which providing for registration of communists. It was later ruled unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Sounds logical to me, and completely illogical of the SCOTUS, but what else is new?

1987 - Delaware Senator Joseph Biden withdrew from the Democratic presidential race following questions about his use of borrowed quotations and the portrayal of his academic record.

In other words, 'Slow Joe was a plagiarizing POS!!! Yet he was re-elected to the Senate for 18 years and eventually became Vice President of the United States...This tells you as much about Delaware and the U.S. as it does about Joey.

1991 - U.N. weapons inspectors in Baghdad discovered documents detailing Iraq's secret nuclear weapons program.

They had WMD's then, and they did when we invaded in 2003...Heaven knows where Hussein hid them, or who he gave them too, but anyone who truly thinks they just disappeared is a complete moron.

1997 - The U.S. Senate Finance Committee opened hearings into reports of alleged abuses by the Internal Revenue Service.

August 12 (A Double)

1934 - Babe Ruth played his final game.

The Babe, the Bambino, the Sultan of Swat. The greatest player in the history of the game...The most dominant American athlete - regardless of which sport.

I don’t do many sports events here, but there has never been a bigger American sports figure, and there will likely never be another like him in the future...The Babe was a baseball god, the likes of which has never been seen.

Most know of his hitting prowess, but it should also be known he was one of the best pitchers of his time, and had he not switched to the outfield would have possibly gone into the Hall of Fame as a pitcher.

1953 - The Soviet Union conducted a secret test of its first hydrogen bomb.

They had the A-Bomb, and it was only a matter of time before they got the 'H'...Thankfully the Soviets never put that bad-boy to belligerent use, but the Ruskies still have them and who knows what will happen in the future?

1099 - The Crusaders won the Battle of Ascalon.

Ascalon was the last major battle of the First Crusade - a victory for the Crusaders...Sadly, they soon realized they conquered a land which could never be held. A lesson which went unlearned for the entirety of the Crusades.

As much as I hate to say it, I'm afraid this is a lesson the Israelis are going to learn over time as well.

1552 - Emperor Charles V granted religious freedom with the Treaty of Passau.

'Granted'? Hardly...Charles had no choice, because he couldn’t control the Protestant lands he gave such 'freedom' to.

1553 - Pope Julius III ordered all copies of the Talmud to be confiscated and burned.

There’s no doubt the Roman Catholic Church had a period where it was much more like the Taliban than the 'Kingdom of Heaven'...This was one of those cases.

1865 - Joseph Lister became the first doctor to use disinfectant during surgery.

Coming from a medical background and knowing what I know about infection, I’d say this was a huge event.

1867 - President Andrew Johnson sparked a move to impeach him when he defied Congress by suspending Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton.

I hope you know Johnson was the first president to be impeached...It wasn’t Clinton (#2), and it wasn’t Nixon (who wasn’t impeached).

1941 - French Marshal Henri Petain gave full support to Nazi Germany:  WWII.

Would anyone expect anything else? Petain rolled over like a cheap whore for the invading Germans. Why would he be expected to fight after the fact.

1972 - The last American combat ground troops left Vietnam.

We won every battle, but lost the war...A pathetic statement about our civilian leaders - who sent the military out to fail.

It was the right war, in the right place, at the right time, but those in the ultimate position of running the war ran it right into the ground...Unfortunately they took the country with them.

1990 - Air Force Staff Sergeant John Campisi died after being hit by a military truck in Saudi Arabia, becoming the first U.S. casualty of the Persian Gulf crisis.

All too often our brave troops die in events other than combat related...Such is the history of warfare and always will be.

No matter how they fall, however, every American soldier who serves the country honorably is deserving of infinite honor and remembrance by the American people.

1998 - Swiss banks agreed to pay $1.25 billion to settle lawsuits brought by Holocaust survivors and their heirs. The banks kept millions of dollars deposited by Holocaust victims before and during World War II.

This really is pathetic, but lets play games with math just to show how pathetic it is (Assume 6,000,000 dead Jews):

June 10

1964 - The U.S. Senate voted to limit further debate on a proposed civil rights bill, shutting off a filibuster by Southern states.

THE REPUBLICANS BROKE THE FILIBUSTER AND PASSED THE BILL!!! Why don't American blacks know this? Why don't most Americans know this??

The Dems had a super-majority in the Senate (67-33), but didn't have the votes to override the Democrat filibuster, because they had too many racists in their ranks...Senators Bobby Byrd and Richard Russell were the two major Democrats against the bill, and the Dems could never have gotten enough votes to overwhelm them.

THE BILL WAS SAVED BY SENATE MINORITY LEADER EVERET DIRKSEN (R)!!!!!

Final Senate vote: Democrats = 44-23 (68%), Republicans = 27-6 (82%)

Things haven't changed, but the Democrats have miraculously managed to portray themselves as the 'Black Party.' They talk good (constantly), but have done very little for American blacks. If anything they have kept them in perpetual political slavery through the creation and propagation of Affirmative Action...Which should otherwise be known as the 'Democrat Party Plantation Program.'

The Liberal propagandameisters (Hollywood, TV, and K-College) have done a great job hiding this FACT.

Tripoli demanded protection money for 'safe passage' through parts of the Mediterranean, and the U.S. refused to pay...As a result, the U.S. sent it's fleet to the Mediterranean and kick ass on these pirates.

It’s ironic it was a group of Muslim terrorists (pirates) who first went to war with the new United States...Once a pain in the ass, always a pain in the ass.

There were other skirmishes before (Fort Sumter was one), but this was the first land-based battle of the war.

1863 - The Battle of Brice's Crossroads:  U.S. Civil War. Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest defeated the numerically superior Union troops.

N.B. Forrest was an amazing tactical general, and the Union was very happy the Confederate leaders despised him so much. He was a self-made military man, without formal training, and by far the most impressive Confederate general in the Western theatre of the Civil War.

Oh by the way, he was also the first Grand Wizard of the KKK...Doh!

1916 – The Great Arab Revolt began, at Mecca and Medina.

The once powerful Ottomans Empire had completely fallen in the toilet...For almost 400 years the Turks kept the Bedouins at bay, but 'the frenzy' couldn’t be contained forever.

Sadly, history will show the fall of the Ottoman Empire to be almost as important as the fall of Rome, because of the worldwide problems allowed to spew out without Ottoman control of the region's lunatics.

1920 - The League of Nations convened for the first time.

Ugh...I don’t know what the female version of the Circle Jerk Group should be called, but this was the mother of the U.N.

1940 - Italy declared war on France and Britain; Canada declared war on Italy:  WWII.

Hitler thought he had a powerful ally, but instead Italy was nothing but a weak pain in the ass for the Reich to have as a partner.

1940 - President Franklin Roosevelt said the U.S. switching from "neutral" to "non-belligerent", meaning the U.S. would support the Allies without itself going to war against the Axis:  WWII.

This was a political way of saying the U.S. was going to stay on the sidelines a while longer, and FDR was trying to continue America's stance of ‘Non-Belligerent Neutrality’...This was an unacceptable situation, and the U.S. should never have gotten this deep into WWII without entering it.

I hate to admit it, but this is something we need to keep in mind when our allies don't come to our aid.

1943 - The Allies began bombing Germany around the clock:  WWII.

Germany Proper finally began to feel the pain it’s military had been giving the rest of Europe...It was overdue, and an awesome display of power.

Amazingly, modern-day Liberals beat on the U.S. for brutalizing German cities. Huh??

1967 - The Six Day War between Israel, Egypt, Syria Iraq and Jordan ended.

What a pathetic showing by the Arab 'powers,' and an equally weak display of Soviet armaments (used by the Arabs)...Never forget, the Arab-Israeli wars were also proxy wars between the U.S. and Soviet Union.

As a result of the war, Israel gained strategic lands (Gaza, West Bank, Golan Heights, Sinai Peninsula, etc.), humiliated the Arabs and set the stage for the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

1993 - Scientists announced they extracted genetic material from the preserved remains of an insect which lived when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

This should be great news, but we must always temper our excitement with the fear of what the Mengelians might do with such a find. I can already see a bug-headed-human-fetus being created...Just for kicks and grins.

1999 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled the city of Chicago went too far in its fight against street gangs by ordering police to break up groups of loiterers.

'Freedom of assembly,' aye? What a joke. This is just one of many Liberal jackass bastardizations of the First Amendment, which reads: “the right of the people peaceably to assemble.”

There is a huge difference, and when the 'peace' isn’t respected, neither should the right to 'assemble.'

This isn’t rocket science, but Liberal judges have twisted the Constitution so much the Founding Fathers wouldn’t even recognize their own document.
